Concrete Curbing
Concrete Curbing done right the first time
Plastic and metal edging heaves, shifts and gets chewed up by the mower, and loose stones never stay in line. A poured concrete curb gives flower beds and tree rings a clean, permanent edge. Some properties need more than that: a curb along the driveway so tires stop rutting the lawn, curb and gutter to carry runoff down a long private drive, or a broken street curb replaced after a new driveway goes in. Around the Rogue Valley, a curb also has to handle sprinkler water against it and frost through the winter.
Rogue Valley Concrete Pro pours curbing in place, so it follows your beds and drives in one continuous line with no loose pieces to shift. For landscape edging we run a smooth curb along beds, trees and walkways, plain, colored or stamped with a texture. For driveways, parking areas and private roads we form and pour heavier curbs and curb and gutter that stand up to tires and runoff. We grade first so every curb sends water the right way, and we handle residential and commercial curb work across Southern Oregon.

Customer reviews
What our customers say
“I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

“I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

“Tim was undoubtedly our best choice for a concrete floor on which to build a shed/storage building. They not only arrived on time and as promised, but their staff was always very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all, they did an exceptional job. In the end, the concrete floor turned out even better than we expected, and they also left our backyard spotless after packing up all their tools. We would definitely hire Concrete Coating Enterprises again and highly recommend them.”

“This company is very professional and finished the job quickly. Tim is honest and knowledgeable as he addressed any questions in a timely manner. He even came back a couple days after the concrete hardened and pressure washed both areas at no cost. Thank you!”

Questions
Concrete Curbing FAQs
Will concrete curbing crack or heave in our soil and winters?
It can get hairline cracks like any concrete, which is why we cut control joints along the run so it cracks neatly at the joints. We set the curb on firm, compacted ground and grade beside it so sprinkler water and winter rain do not sit against it and freeze. A heavy, continuous curb moves far less than plastic or metal edging in the clay soils found in parts of the valley.
How is concrete curbing priced?
Mostly by length, then by profile, color, texture and how much prep the site needs. Tight curves and stamped finishes take more time than a long plain run, and curb and gutter is a bigger, reinforced pour than landscape edging. We measure on site and give you a free estimate.
Do I need a permit to replace the curb at my driveway?
Usually, yes. The street curb sits in the public right-of-way, so the city or county generally wants a permit and may inspect the work. We check with the city or Jackson or Josephine County and pull it, while landscape curbing in your own yard normally needs none.
How long does curbing take to install?
Most residential landscape curbing is laid out and poured in a day. We tell you when it is safe to walk on and when to run the mower and trimmer along it. Driveway curbs and curb and gutter take longer because they are formed and reinforced.
Can curbing go around existing trees and beds?
Yes. Because it is poured in place, curbing follows any curve, so it can trace existing beds, wrap tree rings and tie into walkways. We stay clear of large oak and pine roots so the trees and the curb both stay healthy.
