Concrete Patios
Concrete Patios done right the first time
A good patio is the reason you actually use the backyard. Maybe the space behind the house is dirt and weeds, the old patio is cracked and sunken, or it is too small to fit a table and a grill. Rogue Valley summers are long, hot and bright, so a patio needs a surface that holds up to strong UV, and wet winters mean it has to drain away from the house. Getting the slope, base and finish right is what makes a patio something you enjoy instead of something you work around.
Rogue Valley Concrete Pro builds new back patios across Southern Oregon. Our patio pours go in on compacted gravel with a rebar grid tied in before the concrete arrives, sloped to carry water off. We extend existing patios, tear out and replace failed ones, and add steps and landings at the back door. Coatings are our specialty, so we also coat or resurface patios with decorative flake, colored quartz sand or slip-resistant systems, on concrete ground or blasted clean first. Our crew is licensed, bonded and insured, Oregon CCB #260341, and the crew cleans up when the job is done.

- 04
Steps, landings and edges
Steps down from the door, landings and finished edges built with the patio so it all ties together.

Customer reviews
What our customers say
“I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

“This company is very professional and finished the job quickly. Tim is honest and knowledgeable as he addressed any questions in a timely manner. He even came back a couple days after the concrete hardened and pressure washed both areas at no cost. Thank you!”

Concrete patio, walks & steps · HomeAdvisor review of Concrete Coating Enterprises
“I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

Questions
Concrete Patios FAQs
What does Southern Oregon weather do to a patio?
Summer sun and winter water do the most damage. Strong UV fades and chalks low-grade sealers and paint, and wet winters push water toward the house if the slab is not sloped. Frost on the valley floor and freezes at higher elevations work into cracks. We slope every patio to drain, and when we coat one we use a UV-stable top coat made for outdoor sun.
How much does a concrete patio cost?
It depends on the size and shape, how much digging and tear-out the site needs, how easy it is to get concrete to the backyard, and the finish. A plain broom finish costs less than a stamped or coated patio of the same size. We measure on site and give you a free estimate, and we accept credit cards.
Can you coat or resurface my old patio instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. If the slab is sound, with cracks we can repair and no major settling, a coating or resurfacing gives it a new surface and color without a tear-out. The concrete is ground or blasted clean first, cracks are repaired, and then the coating system goes down.
Do you build paver or flagstone patios too?
Yes. We build concrete, paver and flagstone patios, and we can combine them, like a concrete patio with a flagstone border. We help you pick based on how the space will be used and how much upkeep you want.
Can you extend the patio I already have?
Yes. We tie the new section to the old slab so the joint stays flush, and match the slope so water still runs away from the house. New concrete looks lighter than old at first, and a coating over both gives you one even surface if that matters to you.
