Concrete Removal & Haul-Off

Concrete Removal & Haul-Off done right the first time

Maybe a driveway section has heaved over tree roots, the patio has cracked into pieces, or an old shed slab sits right where you want something new. Sometimes the concrete is simply in the way of a repair underground, like a broken water line. Breaking up concrete by hand is brutal work, and even a small slab weighs more than a pickup should carry. You want it gone cleanly, without the rest of the yard torn up, and with the ground left ready for whatever comes next.

Rogue Valley Concrete Pro saw-cuts, breaks out and hauls off concrete with our own crew, then pours the replacement when you want one. Our jobs include a driveway section heaved by tree roots that we removed and replaced, a broken water main dug out and the concrete put back, and damaged interior floors in a historic 1920s log cabin that we broke out and poured new. We protect what is staying and leave the area graded. Customers mention a crew that cleans up, and that matters most on a removal job.

How it works

How a removal job works

  1. 1

    Free on-site estimate

We look at how much concrete there is, how thick it is, if it has steel in it and how we will get equipment to it.

  2. 2

    Locate and protect

We get buried utilities marked before we cut or dig, and protect the lawn, driveway and anything else that is staying.

  3. 3

    Cut, break and load

We saw-cut where needed, break the concrete into manageable pieces, cut the steel and load it all for haul-off.

  4. 4

    Clean, grade and rebuild

The area is cleared and graded, ready for gravel, landscaping or a new pour by our crew.

Customer reviews

What our customers say

  • “I had a very good experience with Concrete Coating recently. They came by and gave me an estimate on digging out a 3 x 3 area piece of concrete. Turned out that was not where the leak was and they had to come back two more times to dig and another time to replace the concrete. They were very good about staying in touch with me and being available to do each piece of the job I give them five stars.”

  • “I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

  • “I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

  • “We hired Tim to extend our pool deck and resurface our existing pool deck. Tim is reliable and is very knowledgeable. If you are looking for a concrete guy, Tim is your man.”

  • “Tim was undoubtedly our best choice for a concrete floor on which to build a shed/storage building. They not only arrived on time and as promised, but their staff was always very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all, they did an exceptional job. In the end, the concrete floor turned out even better than we expected, and they also left our backyard spotless after packing up all their tools. We would definitely hire Concrete Coating Enterprises again and highly recommend them.”

  • “This company is very professional and finished the job quickly. Tim is honest and knowledgeable as he addressed any questions in a timely manner. He even came back a couple days after the concrete hardened and pressure washed both areas at no cost. Thank you!”

Questions

Concrete Removal & Haul-Off FAQs

Why did my old concrete fail, and will new concrete fail the same way?

Not if the cause is fixed. Around the Rogue Valley, slabs usually fail from below: expansive clay that moves between wet winters and dry summers, a base washed out by irrigation runoff, or oak and pine roots heaving a section. Once the concrete is out, we dig out bad material, deal with roots and build a compacted gravel base so the new pour does not repeat the problem.

How much does concrete removal cost?

It depends on the square footage, how thick the concrete is, if it has rebar or wire mesh in it and how easy it is to get equipment to. Haul-off is part of the job, so there is no separate dumpster to arrange. We give you a free estimate after seeing it.

Do I need a permit to remove concrete?

Removal in your own yard usually does not need one. Work in the public right-of-way, like a driveway apron at the street or a city sidewalk, often does, and we check with the city or county and pull it. Our own work includes city right-of-way sidewalk repairs.

Will the equipment tear up my yard?

We keep the impact small. We pick the shortest path in, use equipment sized to the job and lay protection where we cross lawn or concrete that is staying. Winter rain softens the ground here, so on wet sites we plan the route around it and rake out any ruts before we leave.

Can you pour the new concrete too?

Yes. Most removals are the first step of a new driveway, patio, slab or floor, and we handle the whole job with one crew: break out the old, fix the base and pour the new. That is how the root-heaved driveway section and the log cabin floors were done.
