Concrete Sealing & Joint Sealants
Concrete Sealing & Joint Sealants done right the first time
Unsealed concrete drinks in water. Through wet Southern Oregon winters it soaks up rain and irrigation runoff, frost works at the surface, and by late summer the strong UV has faded whatever color it had. Oil, leaf stains, rust and wildfire-season ash settle into the pores and will not wash out. Meanwhile the joints between slabs dry out, crack and let water run under the concrete. A good sealer and sound joints keep water out of the slab and make the surface far easier to keep clean.
Rogue Valley Concrete Pro cleans and seals driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks and garage floors, and repairs the joints that keep slabs from cracking. We pressure-wash the concrete, or grind or shot-blast it clean where a coating-type sealer needs a bond, repair cracks, then apply a sealer or clear UV-stable topcoat suited to the surface. For joints we replace failed sealant, waterproof gaps between slabs and walls, and install traffic-rated joints where vehicles cross. We use products from Tremco, Watson Bowman, Emseal and Sika, and customers mention a crew that came back to pressure-wash at no charge.

What's included
Our concrete sealing & joint sealants services
- 01
Cleaning and prep
Concrete is pressure-washed to lift dirt, ash and stains, and ground or shot-blasted where a coating-type sealer needs a bond.
- 02
Penetrating and topcoat sealers
We choose between penetrating sealers that soak in and keep a natural look, and clear UV-stable polyurethane or polyaspartic topcoats that add sheen and stain resistance.
- 03
Crack sealing
Cracks are routed and sealed or filled with polyurethane before the surface is sealed, so water stops getting under the slab.
- 04
Expansion joint replacement
Dried-out, cracked and missing joint sealant is cut out and replaced with flexible sealant that moves with the concrete.
- 05
Waterproof joint sealing
Joints between slabs, walls, steps and pool coping are sealed so rain and irrigation water stay out.
- 06
Traffic-rated joints
Driveways, shop floors and parking structures get traffic-rated joint systems built to take vehicles rolling over them.

Customer reviews
What our customers say
“I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

“I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

“Tim was undoubtedly our best choice for a concrete floor on which to build a shed/storage building. They not only arrived on time and as promised, but their staff was always very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all, they did an exceptional job. In the end, the concrete floor turned out even better than we expected, and they also left our backyard spotless after packing up all their tools. We would definitely hire Concrete Coating Enterprises again and highly recommend them.”

Questions
Concrete Sealing & Joint Sealants FAQs
How often should concrete be sealed in Southern Oregon?
It depends on the sealer and the exposure, so there is no single schedule. Concrete in full summer sun, under irrigation spray or at higher elevations with freezes and occasional snow wears through its sealer faster than a covered patio. We look at your surfaces and tell you when they are due.
How much does concrete sealing cost?
It depends on the square footage, how much cleaning and crack or joint repair is needed, and which sealer you choose. Sealing is one of the least expensive ways to protect concrete compared with repairing it later. We give you a free estimate after seeing the concrete, and we accept credit cards.
What is the difference between a sealer and a coating?
A sealer protects the concrete you have, soaking in or forming a thin clear film while keeping the look of the concrete. A coating is a full system with a base coat, a decorative layer and a topcoat that changes the color and texture. We do both and can tell you which fits your surface.
Why do expansion joints matter?
Joints let concrete expand and shrink through Rogue Valley heat and cold without cracking at random. When the sealant in them dries out or goes missing, water runs under the slab, washes out the base and freezes in winter. Replacing failed joint sealant is a small job that protects the whole slab.
Can you seal stamped or colored concrete?
Yes. Stamped and colored concrete is cleaned and resealed to bring the color back and protect the pattern. If it is badly worn, we can restore and coat it, as we did with an old stamped walkway finished in a quartz sand epoxy system.
