Concrete Leveling & Lifting
Concrete Leveling & Lifting done right the first time
A sidewalk panel dropped and now catches every toe. The patio tipped back toward the house, so rain runs at the foundation. A driveway slab sank at the garage, or the front steps pulled away from the porch. Most of the time the concrete itself is still sound. What failed is the soil under it: clay that shrank through a hot, dry summer, a base washed out by irrigation runoff or a downspout, or fill that was never compacted. Lifting the slab back into place is often faster and far less disruptive than tearing it out.
Rogue Valley Concrete Pro lifts concrete two ways and chooses based on the slab and the soil. Mudjacking pumps a cement-based slurry under the slab and fills large voids well. Foam lifting injects a high-density polyurethane foam through small holes, adds very little weight and sets up fast. Either way we drill, lift slowly while watching the slab come up, patch the holes, then route and seal cracks and reseal the joints so water stops washing out the soil underneath. We level concrete in Shady Cove, Medford and across the Rogue Valley.
What's included
Our concrete leveling & lifting services
- 01
Mudjacking
A cement-based slurry pumped under the slab fills voids and raises it, a good fit for large hollow areas.
- 02
Foam lifting
High-density polyurethane foam goes in through small holes, expands under the slab and raises it, and the slab is usually back in use the same day.
- 03
Sidewalks, walkways and steps
Sunken walkway panels are brought back even with their neighbors, and front steps that settled away from the porch are lifted to close the gap.
- 04
Patios and pool decks
Slabs that tipped toward the house or the pool are lifted back to a slope that drains away.
- 05
Driveways and garage aprons
Sunken driveway panels and the dip where the apron meets the garage are lifted so water stops pooling and the door seals again.
- 06
Joint and crack sealing
After the lift we patch the holes, route and seal cracks, and seal the joints so rain and irrigation water stop washing out the base.

Concrete Leveling & Lifting: what it can look like
How it works
How a leveling job works
- 1
Free on-site estimate
We measure how far each slab has dropped, look for the cause, like a downspout or sprinkler washing out the soil, and tell you if lifting will hold.
- 2
Drill injection holes
Small holes are drilled through the slab in a pattern that lets us raise it evenly without cracking it.
- 3
Lift and fill
We inject slurry or foam, bring the slab back up slowly while checking it with a level, and fill the voids underneath.
- 4
Patch and seal
Holes are patched, cracks and joints are sealed, and we point out any drainage fix that keeps the soil from washing out again.
Customer reviews
What our customers say
“I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

“I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

“Tim was undoubtedly our best choice for a concrete floor on which to build a shed/storage building. They not only arrived on time and as promised, but their staff was always very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all, they did an exceptional job. In the end, the concrete floor turned out even better than we expected, and they also left our backyard spotless after packing up all their tools. We would definitely hire Concrete Coating Enterprises again and highly recommend them.”

Questions
Concrete Leveling & Lifting FAQs
Why does concrete sink in the Rogue Valley?
Mostly because of the soil under it. Expansive clay in parts of the valley shrinks through hot, dry summers and swells in wet winters, irrigation runoff and downspouts wash out the base at slab edges, and fill around newer homes can keep settling. Old oak or pine roots that rot out can leave voids too, and when the soil drops away, the slab follows it down.
Does leveling cost less than replacing the concrete?
In most cases, yes. There is no tear-out, no haul-off and no new pour, so the cost comes down mainly to how many slabs need lifting and how much material goes under them. We give you a free estimate after measuring on site.
Mudjacking or foam lifting: which is better?
It depends on the job, which is why we do both. Foam is lighter, uses smaller holes and is ready for traffic quickly, which suits soft clay and driveways that need to be back in service fast. Mudjacking suits large voids where the added weight is not a concern.
How long does concrete leveling take?
Most home jobs are finished in a day. Foam-lifted concrete can take foot traffic almost right away, while mudjacked slabs need time for the slurry to set before heavy use. We tell you when each slab is ready.
Can every sunken slab be lifted?
No. A slab that is broken into many pieces, crumbling or sinking because of a foundation problem will not hold after a lift. In those cases we tell you before any work starts and quote the repair or replacement that will last, which our crew also handles.
