Concrete Patios · Rogue River

Concrete Patios for Rogue River properties

Rogue River homeowners from Ponderosa Park and Classick Bicentennial Park to the edge of town call us for new back patios, patio extensions, coatings and resurfacing, and every job starts with a free estimate.

On the valley floor a lot of the work is driveways, patios and walks that have cracked, settled or lifted over the years, pool decks that have gone rough and slick, and garages ready for a real floor coating. Parts of the valley sit on clay that swells when the winter rain comes and shrinks in a dry August, so the base under new concrete matters.

A customer wrote about their spa slab & sidewalk on HomeAdvisor: “Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

What's included

Concrete Patios we do in Rogue River

  • 01

    New back patios

Full new patios off the back door or out in the yard, shaped to fit how you plan to use the space.

  • 02

    Extensions and replacements

We add on to an existing patio with a clean, flush joint, or break out a cracked, sunken one and pour new.

  • 03

    Base, rebar and drainage

Compacted gravel under every pour, a rebar grid in the slab, and a slope that sends water away from the house.

  • 04

    Steps, landings and edges

Steps down from the door, landings and finished edges built with the patio so it all ties together.

  • 05

    Stamped, colored and paver options

Stamped patterns and colored concrete for a decorative patio, plus paver and flagstone patios when that is the look you want.

  • 06

    Patio coatings and resurfacing

Flake, quartz sand and slip-resistant coatings with a UV-stable top coat. The patio is ground or blasted clean first, which is what keeps the coating down.

Jackson County

Concrete Patios around Rogue River

We work all over Rogue River — near Ponderosa Park, Classick Bicentennial Park and Fielder Mountain — and throughout Jackson County.

Rogue River is a small city on the Rogue River and I-5, between Gold Hill and Grants Pass. Rogue River is about 22 miles southwest of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area.

Concrete in Southern Oregon takes strong summer sun, wet winters and frost on the colder nights, and parts of the Rogue Valley sit on clay that moves with the seasons. New concrete holds up when it sits on a compacted base with steel where it needs it, sheds water away from the house and has joints cut where cracks are meant to go. A coating holds up when the surface under it is ground or blasted clean first.

Customer reviews

What our customers say

  • “I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

  • “This company is very professional and finished the job quickly. Tim is honest and knowledgeable as he addressed any questions in a timely manner. He even came back a couple days after the concrete hardened and pressure washed both areas at no cost. Thank you!”

Concrete patio, walks & steps · HomeAdvisor review of Concrete Coating Enterprises

  • “I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

Questions

Concrete Patios in Rogue River: FAQs

Do you do concrete patios in Rogue River, OR?

Yes. Rogue River is about 22 miles southwest of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area. We handle new back patios, patio extensions, coatings and resurfacing there, and the estimate is free.

Do I need a permit for concrete patios in Rogue River?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, we pull the permit from the City of Rogue River's building department and build to whatever the permit and inspection require.

What does Southern Oregon weather do to a patio?

Summer sun and winter water do the most damage. Strong UV fades and chalks low-grade sealers and paint, and wet winters push water toward the house if the slab is not sloped. Frost on the valley floor and freezes at higher elevations work into cracks. We slope every patio to drain, and when we coat one we use a UV-stable top coat made for outdoor sun.

How much does a concrete patio cost?

It depends on the size and shape, how much digging and tear-out the site needs, how easy it is to get concrete to the backyard, and the finish. A plain broom finish costs less than a stamped or coated patio of the same size. We measure on site and give you a free estimate, and we accept credit cards.

Can you coat or resurface my old patio instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. If the slab is sound, with cracks we can repair and no major settling, a coating or resurfacing gives it a new surface and color without a tear-out. The concrete is ground or blasted clean first, cracks are repaired, and then the coating system goes down.

Do you build paver or flagstone patios too?

Yes. We build concrete, paver and flagstone patios, and we can combine them, like a concrete patio with a flagstone border. We help you pick based on how the space will be used and how much upkeep you want.
