Concrete Driveways for Rogue River properties

Rogue River homeowners call us for new driveways, tear-outs, extensions and RV pads. Our crew is licensed, bonded and insured (Oregon CCB #260341), and every Rogue River job starts with a free estimate.

On the valley floor a lot of the work is driveways, patios and walks that have cracked, settled or lifted over the years, pool decks that have gone rough and slick, and garages ready for a real floor coating. Parts of the valley sit on clay that swells when the winter rain comes and shrinks in a dry August, so the base under new concrete matters.

What's included

Concrete Driveways we do in Rogue River

  • 01

    New driveways

Full driveways for new homes and for drives moving off gravel or asphalt, from a short city drive to a long rural run to the house and shop.

  • 02

    Tear-out and replacement

We break out cracked or heaved concrete or worn asphalt, haul it away and pour new concrete on a corrected base.

  • 03

    Extensions, RV pads and parking

Extra width, a side parking spot, a turnaround or an RV pad, tied into the existing slab so the joint stays flush.

  • 04

    Gravel base and rebar grid

Soft soil comes out, compacted gravel goes in, and a rebar grid is tied before the pour so the steel sits inside the slab.

  • 05

    Drainage and joints

We slope the drive so water runs away from the garage and the house, and cut control joints so the concrete cracks where we plan it to.

  • 06

    Finishes and coatings

A broom finish for grip in the rain, or stamped, colored or coated concrete if you want more. Any coating goes on concrete that is ground or blasted clean first, which is what keeps it down.

Jackson County

Concrete Driveways around Rogue River

We work all over Rogue River — near Ponderosa Park, Classick Bicentennial Park and Fielder Mountain — and throughout Jackson County.

Rogue River is a small city on the Rogue River and I-5, between Gold Hill and Grants Pass. Rogue River is about 22 miles southwest of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area.

Concrete in Southern Oregon takes strong summer sun, wet winters and frost on the colder nights, and parts of the Rogue Valley sit on clay that moves with the seasons. New concrete holds up when it sits on a compacted base with steel where it needs it, sheds water away from the house and has joints cut where cracks are meant to go. A coating holds up when the surface under it is ground or blasted clean first.

What our customers say

  • “Done right with desire to do a good, honest job.”

    B R.

Driveway · HomeAdvisor review of Concrete Coating Enterprises

  • “I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

  • “I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

  • “We hired Tim to extend our pool deck and resurface our existing pool deck. Tim is reliable and is very knowledgeable. If you are looking for a concrete guy, Tim is your man.”

  • “Tim was undoubtedly our best choice for a concrete floor on which to build a shed/storage building. They not only arrived on time and as promised, but their staff was always very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all, they did an exceptional job. In the end, the concrete floor turned out even better than we expected, and they also left our backyard spotless after packing up all their tools. We would definitely hire Concrete Coating Enterprises again and highly recommend them.”

  • “This company is very professional and finished the job quickly. Tim is honest and knowledgeable as he addressed any questions in a timely manner. He even came back a couple days after the concrete hardened and pressure washed both areas at no cost. Thank you!”

Questions

Concrete Driveways in Rogue River: FAQs

Do you do concrete driveways in Rogue River, OR?

Yes. Rogue River is about 22 miles southwest of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area. We handle new driveways, tear-outs, extensions and RV pads there, and the estimate is free.

Do I need a permit for concrete driveways in Rogue River?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, we pull the permit from the City of Rogue River's building department and build to whatever the permit and inspection require.

Why do driveways crack in Southern Oregon?

Usually because of what is underneath. Expansive clay in parts of the valley swells when wet and shrinks in the summer, oak and pine roots lift slabs from below, and freeze-thaw at higher elevations works into any weak spot. We dig out soft soil, build a compacted gravel base, reinforce with rebar and cut control joints so the concrete has a planned place to crack.

How much does a new concrete driveway cost?

It depends on the size, how much tear-out and digging the site needs, how far the truck has to reach and the finish you pick. A plain broom finish on an open, level lot is a simpler job than a long drive on a slope with an old slab to remove. We measure on site and give you a free estimate, and we accept credit cards.

Concrete or asphalt for my driveway?

For most homes here, concrete. It does not soften in July heat or rut under a parked trailer, and it needs far less upkeep than asphalt. Asphalt can cost less up front, but a well-built concrete drive usually comes out ahead over time.

Can you pour a long driveway on a rural property?

Yes. Long drives to a house, shop or RV pad are common on rural lots around Eagle Point, Trail and Grants Pass, and we plan truck access, grading and drainage for the whole run. We place joints along the length so a long drive cracks only where we choose.
