Concrete & Masonry Restoration · Phoenix

Concrete & Masonry Restoration for Phoenix properties

Phoenix homeowners call us for spall repair, carbon fiber reinforcement, brick and chimney masonry repair and stair restoration. Our crew is licensed, bonded and insured (Oregon CCB #260341), and every Phoenix job starts with a free estimate.

On the valley floor a lot of the work is driveways, patios and walks that have cracked, settled or lifted over the years, pool decks that have gone rough and slick, and garages ready for a real floor coating. Parts of the valley sit on clay that swells when the winter rain comes and shrinks in a dry August, so the base under new concrete matters.

A customer wrote about their historic log cabin floors, steps & walkways on Google: “They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property.”

What's included

Concrete & Masonry Restoration we do in Phoenix

  • 01

    Spall and delamination repair

Loose, flaking and delaminated concrete is cut back to sound material and rebuilt with structural repair mortars from manufacturers like Sika and Master Builders.

  • 02

    Carbon fiber reinforcement

Cracked or overloaded walls, beams, columns and slabs are strengthened with bonded carbon fiber instead of being torn out.

  • 03

    Brick and masonry repair

We repoint mortar joints, reset loose brick and rebuild brick landings and steps, including curved brick steps.

  • 04

    Chimney repair

Cracked crowns, failing mortar and loose brick on chimneys are rebuilt, and the cap and flashing are resealed against water.

  • 05

    Stair and walkway restoration

Worn stairs and old walkways are rebuilt at the edges and finished with a new coating, like the stamped walkway we restored and coated with quartz sand epoxy.

  • 06

    Floor and load-bearing restoration

Damaged floors and structural concrete that cannot be saved are broken out and repoured, as we did inside a historic log cabin.

Jackson County

Concrete & Masonry Restoration around Phoenix

We work all over Phoenix and the rest of Jackson County, including nearby Talent, Medford and Ashland.

Phoenix sits along I-5 and Bear Creek between Medford and Talent. Phoenix is about 24 miles south of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area.

Concrete in Southern Oregon takes strong summer sun, wet winters and frost on the colder nights, and parts of the Rogue Valley sit on clay that moves with the seasons. New concrete holds up when it sits on a compacted base with steel where it needs it, sheds water away from the house and has joints cut where cracks are meant to go. A coating holds up when the surface under it is ground or blasted clean first.

Customer reviews

What our customers say

  • “I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

Concrete repairs & resurfacing · Google review of Concrete Coating Enterprises

  • “I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

  • “Tim was undoubtedly our best choice for a concrete floor on which to build a shed/storage building. They not only arrived on time and as promised, but their staff was always very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all, they did an exceptional job. In the end, the concrete floor turned out even better than we expected, and they also left our backyard spotless after packing up all their tools. We would definitely hire Concrete Coating Enterprises again and highly recommend them.”

  • “This company is very professional and finished the job quickly. Tim is honest and knowledgeable as he addressed any questions in a timely manner. He even came back a couple days after the concrete hardened and pressure washed both areas at no cost. Thank you!”

Questions

Concrete & Masonry Restoration in Phoenix: FAQs

Do you do concrete & masonry restoration in Phoenix, OR?

Yes. Phoenix is about 24 miles south of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area. We handle spall repair, carbon fiber reinforcement, brick and chimney masonry repair and stair restoration there, and the estimate is free.

Do I need a permit for concrete & masonry restoration in Phoenix?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, we pull the permit from the City of Phoenix's building department and build to whatever the permit and inspection require.

Is restoration better than replacement?

When the concrete or masonry is mostly sound, yes. Restoration keeps original features like curved brick steps or an old stamped walkway and avoids the mess of demolition. When something is too far gone, we break it out and pour or build new, as we did with the damaged interior floors of a historic log cabin.

What is carbon fiber reinforcement?

It is a thin, strong fabric bonded to concrete with epoxy to add strength to cracked or overloaded walls, beams, columns and slabs. It adds very little bulk and goes on without demolition. We have wrapped a concrete beam in carbon fiber, and the same method works on walls and slabs.

Can you restore a commercial building while it stays open?

Yes. Our parking structure restoration work is done on tight schedules inside active, high-traffic facilities, so we are used to phasing work around people and vehicles. We plan the sequence with you so the space stays usable.

What breaks down concrete and masonry in Southern Oregon?

Water and temperature swings, mostly. Wet winters soak concrete, brick and mortar, and frost on the valley floor and freezes at higher elevations like Shady Cove, Prospect and Butte Falls pop the surface and open the joints. Hot, dry summers with strong UV then break down old sealers and coatings, so restoration ends with sealing the surface to keep water out.
