Hardscapes for White City properties

White City homeowners from Hoover Ponds County Park and Jackson County Sports Park to the edge of town call us for walkways, brick steps and landings, pavers, flagstone and retaining walls, and every job starts with a free estimate.

On the valley floor a lot of the work is driveways, patios and walks that have cracked, settled or lifted over the years, pool decks that have gone rough and slick, and garages ready for a real floor coating. Parts of the valley sit on clay that swells when the winter rain comes and shrinks in a dry August, so the base under new concrete matters.

A customer wrote about their historic log cabin floors, steps & walkways on Google: “They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property.”

Jackson County

Hardscapes around White City

We work all over White City — near Hoover Ponds County Park, Jackson County Sports Park and Tater Hill and out by Little Butte Creek — and throughout Jackson County.

White City is an unincorporated community north of Medford along Highway 62, built on the site of the former Camp White. White City is about 14 miles south of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area.

Concrete in Southern Oregon takes strong summer sun, wet winters and frost on the colder nights, and parts of the Rogue Valley sit on clay that moves with the seasons. New concrete holds up when it sits on a compacted base with steel where it needs it, sheds water away from the house and has joints cut where cracks are meant to go. A coating holds up when the surface under it is ground or blasted clean first.

Customer reviews

What our customers say

  • “I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

  • “I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

  • “Tim was undoubtedly our best choice for a concrete floor on which to build a shed/storage building. They not only arrived on time and as promised, but their staff was always very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all, they did an exceptional job. In the end, the concrete floor turned out even better than we expected, and they also left our backyard spotless after packing up all their tools. We would definitely hire Concrete Coating Enterprises again and highly recommend them.”

  • “This company is very professional and finished the job quickly. Tim is honest and knowledgeable as he addressed any questions in a timely manner. He even came back a couple days after the concrete hardened and pressure washed both areas at no cost. Thank you!”

Questions

Hardscapes in White City: FAQs

Do you do hardscapes in White City, OR?

Yes. White City is about 14 miles south of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area. We handle walkways, brick steps and landings, pavers, flagstone and retaining walls there, and the estimate is free.

Do I need a permit for hardscapes in White City?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, we pull the permit from Jackson County's building services and build to whatever the permit and inspection require.

How much does a hardscape project cost?

It depends on size, materials and the site, since brick, stone, pavers and stamped concrete all differ and slopes, walls and drainage add work. We give you a free estimate after walking the property, and we accept credit cards.

Can you work my own stones into the design?

Yes. At a historic log cabin we set the family's own natural stones into charcoal-colored concrete walkways. We can do the same with stone from your property, set into concrete or laid as flagstone.

Do you build retaining walls and steps on hillside lots?

Yes. We build block and boulder retaining walls to hold slopes and create level space, and concrete or brick steps to get up and down them. Hillside lots in Ashland, Jacksonville and up the Rogue get extra attention to base and drainage.

Should I choose pavers, stamped concrete or brick?

It comes down to the look you want and how the space is used. Stamped concrete gives a stone or brick pattern in one solid surface, pavers and flagstone can be lifted and reset, and brick suits older homes and formal steps and landings. We go over each option during the estimate.
