Stamped & Decorative Concrete · Ashland

Stamped & Decorative Concrete for Ashland properties

Ashland homeowners from Ashland Downtown Historic District and Garfield Park to the edge of town call us for stamped walkways and patios, colored concrete and stamped concrete restoration, and every job starts with a free estimate.

On the hillside lots here, steps, walkways, retaining walls and drainage do a lot of the work, and older homes often have original concrete and masonry worth restoring rather than tearing out.

A customer wrote about their historic log cabin floors, steps & walkways on Google: “They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property.”

Stamped & Decorative Concrete around Ashland

We work all over Ashland — near Ashland Downtown Historic District, Garfield Park and Triangle Park and out by Southern Oregon University and Angus Bowmer Theatre — and throughout Jackson County.

Ashland sits at the south end of the Rogue Valley below Mount Ashland, home to Southern Oregon University and Lithia Park. Ashland is about 31 miles south of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area.

Concrete in Southern Oregon takes strong summer sun, wet winters and frost on the colder nights, and parts of the Rogue Valley sit on clay that moves with the seasons. New concrete holds up when it sits on a compacted base with steel where it needs it, sheds water away from the house and has joints cut where cracks are meant to go. A coating holds up when the surface under it is ground or blasted clean first.

Customer reviews

What our customers say

  • “I hired Concrete Coating Enterprises LLC to do extensive concrete work on my family’s historic 1920s log cabin, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The cabin had significant cracks and issues with its original concrete floors. They removed the damaged sections, properly prepared the foundation, and poured new concrete in the kitchen and dining areas. They also created beautiful custom brick landings, curved steps, and charcoal-colored concrete walkways incorporating original natural stones from our family property. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are outstanding! What I appreciated just as much as the quality of their work was their excellent communication, reliability, and professionalism. They showed up when expected, kept me informed throughout the project, listened to my ideas, and worked with me to achieve the look I wanted. Renovating a cabin over 100 years old comes with unexpected challenges, and they handled the work with care, patience, and pride.”

  • “I had collected about three or four different estimates and Tim's price was lowest. I determined to see why it was lowest and see if I could endure that. Instead, what I discovered is Tim's job was way more than anybody else was offering instead of setting a 6 inch beam in my Spa slab. He said a 12 inch beam and he increased the rebar to half inch. But it really impressed me was another job he did for me on the sidewalk where the same as with the spa he used 4 inches of crushed rock compacted before he lay his forms out and then instead of using wire he actually use rebar. Basically he's an old-fashioned guy working in today's times where his work is more important than his profits.”

  • “Tim was undoubtedly our best choice for a concrete floor on which to build a shed/storage building. They not only arrived on time and as promised, but their staff was always very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all, they did an exceptional job. In the end, the concrete floor turned out even better than we expected, and they also left our backyard spotless after packing up all their tools. We would definitely hire Concrete Coating Enterprises again and highly recommend them.”

  • “This company is very professional and finished the job quickly. Tim is honest and knowledgeable as he addressed any questions in a timely manner. He even came back a couple days after the concrete hardened and pressure washed both areas at no cost. Thank you!”

Questions

Stamped & Decorative Concrete in Ashland: FAQs

Do you do stamped & decorative concrete in Ashland, OR?

Yes. Ashland is about 31 miles south of Shady Cove, well inside our 40-mile service area. We handle stamped walkways and patios, colored concrete and stamped concrete restoration there, and the estimate is free.

Do I need a permit for stamped & decorative concrete in Ashland?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, we pull the permit from the City of Ashland's building department and build to whatever the permit and inspection require.

Can you restore old, faded stamped concrete?

Yes. We clean and repair the surface, then reseal it or coat it. One old stamped walkway we restored was finished with a quartz sand epoxy system, which gave it a fresh, even surface.

Can stamped concrete be used on a driveway?

Yes. A stamped driveway is built like any driveway, on compacted gravel with rebar, and then stamped and sealed. Pattern choice matters more on a drive, because deep textures hold dirt and are harder to clear of snow at higher elevations.

How does stamped concrete hold up to Rogue Valley sun and winters?

Well, if it is sealed and maintained. Strong summer UV fades color and breaks down low-grade sealers, and freezes at higher elevations can flake a surface that lets water in. A good UV-stable sealer or top coat, renewed when it wears, keeps the color and the surface protected.

How much does stamped concrete cost?

It depends on the size, the pattern and number of colors, how much prep the site needs and access for the truck. Stamped work takes more labor than a plain broom finish, so it costs more for the same area. We give you a free estimate after seeing the space, and we accept credit cards.
